Data Access Policies

The goal of Common Metabolic Diseases Genome Atlas (CMDGA) and the AMP®-CMD consortium is to facilitate genetic studies of common metabolic diseases, which includes providing data and tools to the scientific community.

Data Access Policy for External Users
External users may access, download and analyze raw and processed data for released experiments and annotations. We request that researchers who use processed data files created by the CMDGA in their analyses to acknowledge the CMDGA in addition to citing the specific publications and investigators who generated the original experimental datasets.

Data Access Policy for AMP® CMD Consortium Members
Consortium data are shared among AMP® CMD consortium members as a resource to facilitate collaboration and discovery prior to public release. Consortium data must first be pre-registered through the Common Metabolic Diseases Knowledge Portal (CMDKP) (www.cmdkp.org) prior to depositing in the CMDGA. Once deposited, these data can then be accessed through the CMDKP by authorized members of the consortium.

Data Access Policy for Individual Groups
Individual groups/labs who would like to share data with the CMDGA can contact the CMDGA team directly to deposit their data, and these data can be kept under restricted access to just the group/lab.

For questions regarding the data access policy please email the CMDGA or CMDKP team.
